In 1988 I joined Permanite who, at the time, were part of Tarmac and it’s fair to say I have seen some changes along the way. Mergers, management buy-outs, a recession or three and during those times there was always uncertainty about what the future had in store, if indeed there was a future as cut-backs and redundancies were always a risk and investments were rarely talked about. Then IKO came along and after an initial stabilisation period it became clear that IKO were here for the long term. We have seen investment after investment and sustained growth. I am happy to say that an element of this has been along my career path of the last 12 years or so when we entered into a new phase with the development of a single ply offer and the introduction of a specialist division.
Since stepping over to the single ply division, I have seen those early seeds of investment and development grow and flourish. The IKO family values are something that can be seen amongst the team today.
The work ethic at IKO Polymeric is something that makes it such an enjoyable work place. People here are warm and friendly and always willing to help.
I can honestly say that my time with IKO has been the most enjoyable times of my working life.
